The main reason for the publication of this part of the website, is to make you (the reader) aware of the Hindu philosophy and religion and its various systems.
The sacred books of the Hindus present a number of problems which have yet to be solved. They have been tackled by various scholars from time to time, but their essential enigma remains. The nineteenth century, and more specially its latter half, witnessed a great awakening of interest in Sanskrt among European scholars, and it has spread to America in more recent years. But the result has fallen short of expectation; and philosophy and religion have, for the most part, given place to history, philology, anthropology, archaeology and antiquarian research.
The modern scholar would not indeed deny the moral and spiritual significance of the sacred books; but they are for him but relics of a bygone age, with values and problems entirely different from his own.
It is important to refer to the teachings of our ancestors, however when it comes to our real life and its experiences the visitor would be well advised to introspect and gain new insights from the world to make realistic decisions for the betterment of his or her own life.
